My amiable Governor,

It is important to note that since the inception of your administration as the Executive Governor of Kogi State, many have been impressed of your developmental stride in terms of road projects, security and other infrastructural developments.

In addition Sir, your administration gave a level playing ground to all political class in Kogi State to air their view without fear being oppressed.

All these are your good works that made Kogites to beckon on you for second term.

Your Excellency Sir, it is important to also note that the screening of civil servants that was initiated by your administration since 2016 has not been concluded as many staff from different ministries, parastatals are uncleared.

These uncleared staff are affected with issues ranging from falsification of academic certificates, age falsification, under age employment etc.

Your Excellency, some set of these staff have not been paid salary since you were sworn in as the Executive Governor of Kogi State, some received to a period of time and were stopped.

The Head of Civil Service Commission and the Nigerian Labour Congress, Kogi State chapter led by Comrade Onuh Edoka were in the position to struggle for the uncleared staff, but today, were abandoned to their fates without no choice than to become street beggers.

Every social being has a dream and aspiration in life, but that of the uncleared staff had been thwarted because they can no longer meet up with their family needs and responsibilities.

Your Excellency, as a matter of urgency, I appeal that you use your judicious office to re-absorb these uncleared staff in order to ameliorate their sufferings. If their certificates seems to be altered or forged, the school in which they claimed to have graduated should be contacted for more verification of the said certificates.

I, as well, call on well meaning Kogites, the social media crusaders and the journalists to help in the struggle to liberate the dying Kogites whom have been financially traumatized as a result of non-payment of backlog salaries. Please fight to save a soul in our dear State.

For those who were affected, I urge you to be steadfast in prayers, keep hope alive and believe that their is still hope for a living dead. Never you be negative but always positive in life aspirations.

Thanks and God bless Kogi State.

– Ibrahim Paul.
