Satisfied with the rate of defection by politicians from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, the chairman of APC in the state, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo, has informed that the defection was an indication that the people are tired of PDP in the state.
Speaking against the backdrop of defection of Vice Marshal Salihu Atawodi (retd), former state chairman of PDP, Mr Emmanuel Dangana Ocheja, Senator Nicholas Yahaya Ugbane and former Accountant-General of the state Elder Ubolo Okpanachi, the chairman, disclosed that the end of PDP is around the corner
According to him: “the PDP is already smelling defeat and I urged all people who want a change in the state to vote for APC in the forthcoming elections.
He called on all agents of change in the state not to relent in their efforts to push PDP away in the postponed elections, urging them to intensify their house-to-house and man-to-man campaign in order to dislodge PDP.
Ametuo, in a statement, berated PDP for its failure to fight corruption, insecurity and economic retrogression for over 15 years.
He alleged that defection of members of PDP into the major opposition party in the country, is an indication that Nigerians are desirous of change that will have direct bearing in their lives.
