The Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello Adoza has engaged in a war to stop corruption in the state in other to reduce poverty and unemployment in the state.
Corruption and poverty unfortunately go hand-in-hand, threatening the lives of too many people, this message is sound loud and clear, you can’t beat poverty if you don’t stop corruption.
Corruption lead to unemployment and unemployment lead to poverty.
Governor Yahaya Bello is a man of courage and a man of vision since he came into government he is working hard everyday to see that Kogi state is out of mess that the past administrations under PDP put the state into.
We have been hearing about ghost workers but we never knew they exist in our state Kogi state, but with GYB today we have come to know that ghost workers are real and they exist in Kogi state.
According to the state Auditor-General, Okala Yusuf, Kogi State Government lost N213 billion to 18, 211 ghost workers in the past 13 years.
The Governor has challenged affected workers to come forward to prove their cases and anyone who is able to prove his or her case will be paid all outstanding salary arrears.
This is very serious because if we don’t kill corruption, corruption will kill us, according to President Muhammad Buhari.
Corruption affects us all. It threatens sustainable economic development, ethical values and justice; it destabilises our society and endangers the rule of law. It undermines the institutions and values of our democracy.
But because public policies and public resources are largely beneficial to poor people, it is they who suffer the harmful effects of corruption most grievously.
If corruption is not tackled there will be reduction in unemployment and poverty and i believe that, that is what GYB is up to.
This is the time for us to rally around Governor Yahaya Bello to fight against corruption together for the betterment of our dear state, Kogi. Let us do away with tribalism and sentiment among us because GYB is not a man of tribalism, he believes in equity and justice, let endorse him for second tenure.
I want to use the medium to welcome all the PDP members that later realize that they are on the left road and there is need to always be on the right road.
Kudos to Honourable Abdulrazaq Mohammed, the Administrator of Okene local government, who is working tireless to see that Okene local government is in good order.
Kudos to Honourable Usman Abdulrahim, a.k.a postman, the SSA to Okene local government administrator. He is a youth that understand the cry of the the youth and the elders, he is a youth that always stand for the interest of his people.
Long live Kogi
Long live GYB.
