About 15 senators of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have, Tuesday 24 , July, 2018, dumped the ruling party and
defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Nigeria has had a chequered political history of defection of party members from their party to another right from the pre – colonial administration.
Defection has characterised the political landscape of Nigeria. It is usually normal in politics to defect to another political party but it should be in the people’s overall interest.
Political party defectors are usually regarded as political prostitutes without political principle, morality, conscience and lacking in political ideology to champion the cause of leadership for the well being of the society and political development of the country.
The question we should ask those defectors is that, what are they defecting for? Are they defecting from APC to PDP for the interest of the people or for their selfish interest, if they are defecting for the interest of the masses please let ask them that what is happening to the budget been submitted since last year if the know that they truly love Nigerians why nothing has been done to the budget. None of them is  showing meaningful concerns about the current security problems and provision of infrastructures. No one is talking about free education, health care system among others. The question we are asking is that, is this struggle by these defectors in favor of common
Nigerians or in their personal interests?
Those who engage in defecting are either hopeless in their original parties or intend to increase their chances of winning election but had no relationship with positive development.
Believe me that, among those defecting to PDP they are not defecting mainly because of the party APC they are defecting from President Muhammadu Buhari because of his Anti corruption war but they forget to ask if GOD has defect from buhari.
Let me use the case of His Excellency Alh Yahaha Bello Adoza the Governor of Kogi state as a case study.
In 2015 when he lost in the primary election to Late Prince Abubakar Audu, many of his supporter were defecting from his camp to Audu/Felake camp and some many people were advice him to defect from APC to SDP but governor yahaha bello refuse to defect, after all the political saga  when Prince Abubakar the Apc flag bearer is taking the lead to victory in the general election, but unfortunately God call him to rest, then Alh yahaha bello who refused to defect from Apc to SDP were now called to inherite the victory and today he is the Governor of kogi state this it to show u that power belong to God he give power to whom he like.
Defection won’t affect Buhari’s bid for re-election. Those who defect from one political party to the other are political moths.
Moths are nocturnal insects that thrive mostly in the night searching for warmth. This is their season, no wonder there are gale of defectors in our political landscape. Those defectors are the one’s that plead us to vote for Buhari under the platform of APC in 2015 and the called PDP association of of corruption people, and most of then were brought up by PDP that they blackmail in 2015 before they defect to APC,but today they are still going back to that same party that they blackmail in 2015. Their case is just like some one that vomit and continue eating up the vomit he vomited.
President Muhammadu Buhari should relax, he should fear not that God has not defected from him and As far as the defectors are concerned, they are bunch of failures and what matters to them is what is in there for them. They are the rich Nigerians who do not care whether Nigeria’s image is at the lowest ebb or not, as far as their
feathers are nested.
In conclusion, Please Let us support President Muhammadu Buhari re-election 2019 to wipe out corruption, insecurity and promote our economy that will pave a way for a better living standard for us and for the future generations to come.
