Ooni Enitan Ogunwusi Hosts Yeye Oge of Okunland, Endorses Omidan Oge 2019

Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II) has reiterated his support for developmental initiatives that will accelerate the growth of Okun nation in Kogi State.

Ooni Ogunwusi made this known when he played host to the Omidan Oge team led by the Yeye Oge of Okun land, Yeye Omoleye Aiyelabowo in his palace on Monday.

Yeye Aiyelabowo who doubles as the Aare Yeye of the Yorubaland and he Omidan Oge team paid a notification visit to the Ooni for his royal blessings and support towards the forthcoming beauty pageantry, women empowerment, Okun connects and Ogo okun awards scheduled to hold in Kabba, Kogi state on 10th August.

The revered monarch stated00 that Kogi state is a Yoruba land. He noted that Ebiras, Igalas and the Okuns are one as the tribes can trace their origin to the patriarchs of the Ile-Ife.

He applauded the current administration in Kogi state for listening to his fatherly advise towards the course of uniting the people of the state.

Ooni commended Yeye Aiyelabowo for her passion and struggle to bring revive and celebrate the culture, pride and heritage of the Okunland.

On receiving a copy of the bespoke of the program, the monarch pledged his support towards the Omidan Oge pageantry.
