I received the transition news of the Olukiri of Kiri Kingdom, His Highness Oba Jerome Mosiko, with shock, pain and grief in my heart.

It is quite painful that the Olu of Kiri Kingdom has joined his ancestors at a time we needed him the most but we have taken solace in the fact that there is time for everything under the sun, particularly a time to be born and a time to die (Ecclesiastes 3;1-2.)

However, we thank God for a life well spent, the peaceful reign and the good legacies left behind by the Olu of Kiri Kingdom.

I therefore sympathize and empathize with the Mosiko Dynasty, the good people of Kiri Kingdom, over the transition of the people’s monarch and I pray to God to grant the entire family, and the good people of Kiri Kingdom the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

May God bless the dead and grant him eternal rest.
