The House of Assembly candidate of Accord Party for Okene II in the forthcoming general elections, Dr. Yahaya Oniwon Ibrahim (Akanali) has been commended for donating a wheelchair to a member of Okene disabled community.
Akanali alleviated pains of Mallam Siyaka Aliyu from Idoma in Obehira-Uvete Ward with the donation of a wheelchair.
Chairman, Okene disabled community, Comrade Nazir Abdulkareem lauded Dr. Akanali for his quick response to the needs of one of their member.
He noted that the community is full of appreciation because Dr. Akanali does not even know the beneficiary.
“He is a lover of the disabled community as part of his professionalism. He promised do more to alleviate suffering of persons living with disabilities in his immediate community because he knows the value of disabled persons and what they offer to the society positively, if properly care for,” he said.
Dr Akanali said his donation has nothing to do with his political ambition.
Mall. Siyaka Aliyu was unable to collect it himself due to his mobility challenges but represented by his brothers.
One of the brothers of the beneficiary who received the wheelchair offered prayers for Dr. Yahaya Oniwon Ibrahim. He stated that Mall. Siyaka will be overjoyed because he has been praying that God send him a good Samaritan that will save him from his present predicament.
