The Director General, National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Professor Seidu Mohammed Ogah has tasked the people of Igala and Bassa of Kogi East to vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo for sustainable development.

He urged the Igala /Bassa people to reciprocate the gestures of APC led government which appointed their sons and daughters to high positions of responsibilities by coming out enmass to reelect President Muhammadu Buhari, candidate of APC in the forthcoming general elections.

Ogah gave the task on Tuesday in Anyigba, Dekina LGA of the state during the road walk for President Buhari and Osinbajo organised by the Igala / Bassa Alliance for Buhari /Osinbajo Continuity.

The NASRDA boss stated that for the ongoing development projects across the country to be completed Nigerians must reelect the president for another term in office.

He challenged the Igala / Bassa race to take their destinies in their hands by refusing propaganda by the opposition parties to remain with the presidential candidate of the APC.

While restating the commitment of Igala /Bassa people to the reelection bid of the president, the Director General of Igala-Bassa Alliance, for Buhari continuity, Goodman Akwu said the carnival is to market the APC candidate to the people of Kogi East.

Akwu advised the people not to believe the insinuations that the Igala nation has been abandoned by the All Progressive Congress (APC) saying the zone has never had it so good.

Akwu, a chieftain of All Progressive Congress (APC) and former governorship candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), said rather than blaming President Buhari for the woes of the zone, the people  should blame their children in position of responsibilities who cannot attract development to the zone.

According to him: “it is good to give honour to whom honour is due and it is on record that president Muhammadu Buhari appointed some people of Igala extraction to juicy positions.

“It is a wrong notion, belief and perception, being spread around that president Buhari hates Igala -Bassa speaking people. Mischief makers are behind this news. I say, it is a handwork of mischief makers.

“As far as Kogi state is concerned today, the two major key appointments made from the state by president Muhammadu Buhari were given to Professor Ikani Oseni and Professor Sam Egwu who hailed from the zone.

“I still want to remind the ignorant that the National women leader of the APC, Hajia Salamatu Baiwa-Eluma,  the state coordinator of the federal youth employment scheme, popularly called N-Power, Alfa Momoh,  Chairman of Code of Conduct Bureau, Justice Isaiah Idoko, the Executive Director, Nigerian Development Bank are all from Kogi East.”

He advised the people to exercise caution with myriads of propaganda  against president Buhari assuring that the reelection of the president and his vice remained the best option for the people.
