Okakwu of Iyano: Zacharias Congratulates Tony Ogah as He Bags Chieftaincy Title

The member representing Idah Federal constituency, Hon David Idris Zacharias has congratulated the founder of Tony Ogah Peace Foundation, Ambassador Anthony Ogah on the conferment of the Okakwu Chinemelu 1 of Iyano on him by the traditional stool of Ibaji.

Zacharias in a congratulatory message released in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Jeremiah Ocheme in Abuja, said the chieftaincy title is a confirmation of his close relationship with his people at the grassroots and a reword for his philanthropic activities over the years.

The lawmaker noted that the bridges of friendships, peace, kindness and living a selfless life for others, which Anthony Ogah has promoted over the years, is worthy of reward through the title.

According to the lawmaker, the peace being preached by Anthony using various forms of activities like sports, scholarships and empowerment programmes have contributed in no small measures in reducing crimes and criminality from Idah federal constituency.

Zacharias believes that with the new chieftaincy title, the Okakwu himself will be closer to the traditional leaders, a synergy he said will be for the over all good of the people socially, economically, politically and otherwise. 

The Idah federal lawmaker, who is a member of the House Committee on Approbations in the statement, further said he looks forward to working with Ogah in the years ahead in order for them to better the life of the constituents.

He further noted, that he will be partner with the Tony Ogah Peace foundation in areas of youths and women developments as well as other developmental activities that have the capacity to change the over all narrative of politics, leadership and governance in the constituency.

While wishing him a success in his endeavours, Zacharias assured him of his continued prayers as he continues to contribute his quota to the peace, stability and development of the constituency.

The statement described Tony Ogah as a peace lover, philanthropist, agent of positive change, a mentor to many young people and one who has used his resources for the good of the less privileged, orphans and vulnerable.
