Ohere, Omoluabi, AGDU Celebrates Smart Adeyemi at 58

Kogi state commissioner for works and housing, Engr. Abubakar Ohere has described Senator Smart Adeyemi as an exemplary legislator who has distinguished himself in his private and public life.

Ohere, through a message of felicitation on Adeyemi’s 58th birthday, noted that; “Yours has been a life that is defined by determination and tenacity as well as uncommon courage and strength of purpose.

“His doggedness, courage and sincerity of purpose in pursuing patriotic causes should be emulated by all, particularly the younger generations.”

Also, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Political Matters, Omoluabi Olabode Adeyemi has congratulated the Senator representing Kogi West as he clocks 58.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Omoluabi said Adeyemi has through his visionary service to fatherland left a footprint in the nation’s sphere for which posterity will be kind to him.

He said Senator Adeyemi stands out among the people of his generation through his contributions to professional duties, less privileged, national service and nation building.

“Our own Senator Adeyemi has not only put Kogi West in the map of honour but has given our sons and daughters globally a sense of pride. His return to the Senate has brought robustness, resourcefulness, egalitarianism and demeanour to legislative debates, parliamentary assignments and good governance.

“He has proven to be a leader, model figure and indeed a gentleman in the real sense of it. To thousands, he is a footstep to follow, to thousands, he is light, to thousands, he is a father, mentor and guardian.

“Through hard work, commitment and discipline, he reached the peak of his career as a journalist and later emerged the National President of the umbrella body of journalists in Nigeria, the NUJ. The reformatory initiatives he brought into the union gave media workers a sense of pride to identify themselves as journalists across the country. 

“The quality motions he has moved and bills sponsored in years of legislative national assignment have brought succour and ray of light to Nigerians living on the edge of life.

“The good people of Kogi West will forever remember him for ushering in era of prosperity, inclusion and real democratic dividends,” he said.

In the same vein, the highest socio-cultural organization in Ayegunle Gbede, Ayegunle Gbede Descendants Union (AGDU) congratulated Adeyemi on his birthday.

In a statement issued by the national public relations officer, Yusuf Adeyanju Yisau, AGDU expressed gratitude to the Senator for his contributions towards the development of Ayegunle Gbede.

“We are looking forward to partnering with you in area of community and human capital development in order to achieve your pre-set agenda for our people. 

“We pray that Almighty God will bless you beyond your imagination. Also, we wish you good luck, long life, and prosperity in good and sound health in the years ahead,” the statement said.
