The annual Ogba Cultural Festival organised by the foremost socio-cultural group, Igala Cultural Heritage, initially scheduled for the 1st of October, 2020 has been postponed indefinitely.
The postponement was announced through a press statement issued by Ahmed Baba on behalf of the planning committee.
“This is to inform Igala sons and daughters, and the general public that the Ogba Cultural Festival slated for October 1st, 2020, at the Paulad Sport Center, Abuja has been postponed till further notice.
“The fortunate non-availability of the Attah Igala, His Royal Majesty, Idakwo Michael Ameh Oboni II due to his sudden hunting trip necessitated the postponement.
“As people with deep regards for our culture and tradition, we have no option other than to accord our paramount royal father his due honour and respect in this period of great uncertainty,” parts of the statement read.
The organizing committee however noted that other side attractions for the celebration of the National Independence Day on 1st October, 2020 shall proceed as planed.
“We regret all the inconveniences this unforeseen adjustments to our programme may have caused our invited guests and the general public,” he added.
