The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated his brother and colleague, the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election for another term in office.
In a congratulatory message, Governor Ododo described the victory as a renewed mandate from the people of Osun State, and an opportunity for the administration to consolidate its achievements and deepen the development of the state.
He urged his Osun State counterpart to continue upholding the progressive ideals that have guided his administration, and to remain focused on policies and programmes aimed at improving the lives of the people of Osun State.
With the election now concluded, the Kogi State governor called for the unification of all interests and political tendencies in the state. He urged Governor Adeleke to extend the hand of fellowship across political divides and strengthen the bond of unity among the people of Osun State.
Governor Ododo stressed that the task of developing Osun State belongs to all its citizens, irrespective of political affiliation. He added that the renewed mandate should serve as an opportunity for all stakeholders to set aside their political differences and work together in the collective interest of the state.
