The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kogi State command yesterday said it has arrested a truck load with petroleum products by some pipeline vandals.

The Kogi State Sector Commander, Everestus Obiyo, said in Lokoja that the command would not rest on its oars in the fight against vandals till they are brought on their knees.

A statement signed by Ibrahim Tahir, the Command Public Relation Officer, said the hoodlums were arrested with truck loads with suspected petroleum products along Obajana-Kabba road on June 25, 2016.

The command said the suspects would soon be arraigned in court after the completion of investigation.

He noted that the vandals capitalise on the loneliness of the road because of its bad nature to perfect their act.

The Statement called on parents to caution their wards against nefarious act of economic sabotage as the long arms of the law would not spare those caught.

In another development, the state commander of the NSCDC, Commandant Everestus Obiyo, has expressed gratitude to the people of Ikah, Iregun and Ujeh communities in Ibaji for their show of brotherliness in dropping arms for peace.

It was gathered that the communities had been in cold war over issue of leadership.

NSCDC enjoined the communities to remain good citizens of Kogi State as development would remained elusive in the face of rancour, stating that the governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his deputy were doing everything humanly possible to bring development to the State.
