Abdulkareem Ramat Ohunene has signed a contract extension with Turkish top-flight Adana Idmanyurduspor.
The former U17 female midfielder known as Nene, who previously played for Nasarawa Amazons, Adamawa Queens, Abia Angels and Confluence Queens says she is ready to giver her best for the club.
“For the team to hand over jersey number 10 to me, I know what it means. So I am ready to go all out and give my best to the club in the coming season.
“My main ambition is to play and keep my team at the top of the table. I will do my best.”
Speaking on growing up playing football which is dominated by males in Nigeria, Abdulkareem says, “As a female player, playing football in the midst of male was never easy while growing up. But it makes me stronger and gives me more confidence.”
The versatile midfielder, whose role models are Super Falcons Rita Chikwuelu and Luka Modric of Real Madrid says she will do her best to play for the Super Falcons.
“One of my biggest targets is to play for the national team. I have played at the junior level with U17 team. But in as much as one of my dream is to play for the national team, I don’t want to put pressure on myself. I believe there is time for everything, and with God, dedication and hard work, I am sure it will happen.
“My message to my fans is that they should keep supporting me.”
