Embattled Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momoh-Jimoh Lawal, has dismissed his purported impeachment describing it as a ‘Kangaroo’ arrangement that can not pass under a sane atmosphere.
Shorted after the purported impeachment of Lawal as Speaker, 15 members of the House who were seen at Hon. Lawal’s residence insist Hon. Lawal remains the Speaker and that their signature was forged to perfect the impeachment. He presented a document containing signatures of House members who passed a vote of confidence on his leadership to newsmen.
The two previous impeachment moves against Lawal has remained inconclusive.
