A political group rooting for the emergency of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state as the next Nigerian President, the ‘Chief Edward David Onoja  For GYB2PYB 2023’, Kogi Central chapter, has called on youths in the state to join and become registered members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement issued in Lokoja on Monday, the coordinator of the group, Matthew James Avaabe, expressed satisfaction with the decision of the party to appoint Governor Bello to spearhead the youth and women Mobilisation and sensitization committee for the nationwide regiatration exercise.

He added that Bello’s appointment is well deserved considering the governor’s outstanding capacity as shown over the years.

Avaabe stated that young people must begin and continue to participate in party political processes.

He called on youths in Kogi Central to strive to become registered members of the ruling party, considering the morality and integrity of APC and the party’s positive engagement of the Nigeria youths.

“I have charged all of our local government and Wards coordinators across Kogi Central senatorial district to begin door-to-door sensitization exercise to mobilise the people to register as members of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

“As ardent followers and supporters of Chief Edward David Onoja, the Deputy Governor of Kogi state, we believe that the inclusion of young people in the formal party processes is important from the start. Our active contribution can bring democratic values to life, as seen in Kogi state under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and his Deputy,” he said.
