Lokoja: Idris Ndako Gives Out N5m Worth of Food Items to Constituents for Sallah

In the spirit of Sallah celebrations, member representing Lokoja II constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Idris Ndako has donated food stuffs and rams worth over N5 million to Lokoja people.

The largess was given to widows, the aged, tribal leaders, members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and orphans in both Lokoja 1 and 2 constituencies.

 

Speaking during the distribution at his Felele residence, Ndako said the gesture was in the spirit of the Eidil- Adha, adding that it was his desire to alleviate the sufferings of the less privileged in the area.

 

He appealed to corporate organisations and well placed individuals to assist the less privileged people in the society within the limits of their resources especially in this period of economy meltdown.

 

He assured that he will continue to assist the people of Lokoja local government area irrespective of political affiliation.

 

“It is my commitment to provide the needed dividends of aemocracy, not only to our people of Lokoja 11 constituency but the entire Lokoja local government area”, he said.

 

Members of general public within and outside Lokoja 1 and 2 constituencies trooped to the Isegba Felele residence of Ndako as early as 7 am to receive their own share of the Sallah gifts.

 

Among the earlier callers include Islamic clerics, traditional rulers, tribal leaders, politicians and a host of others.
