Light Up Lokoja Movement Confers Award on AEDC Staff for Outstanding Service

The pressure group concerned with electricity supply to Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State, Light Up Lokoja Movement, has presented an award for exceptional service delivery to one of the staff of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), Mr. Godwin Okuwe.
The award ceremony which held at the Regional Headquarters of the company in Lokoja, saw the obviously delighted Mr. Okuwe receiving the award by the body from the Administrator for Lokoja Local Government, Hon Lawal Shiru.
Presenting the award, Hon Shiru lauded the awarded for his outstanding service delivery to electricity consumers in his Local Government Area, and said it was in recognition of his patience and commitment to his duty.
The Administrator, who particularly praised Mr. Okuwe for the manner he has been able to handle the regular deluge of complaints by customers, especially those on the online platform of the organization, appreciated him for his humble disposition.
In his opinion: I am without any iota of doubt, sure that this award is well deserved because as someone who belongs to the same online platform through which customers interface with the leadership of AEDC as created by this group, I am wholly satisfied with the way he has been able to handle all complaints.
I must praise this group also for recognizing the contributions of Mr. Godwin Okuwe, this show the caliber of those who make up the executive and membership of this noble body. It would no doubt, spur other members of the organization towards effective service delivery.
The administrator, who particularly praised the manner the Light Up Movement has been working in synergy with the consumers and organization, stressed the need for its sustenance, assuring that it would only create peaceful atmosphere and bring about a win-win situation.
Speaking, the Regional Head of Technical of AEDC, Engr. Akeem Salawu, while commending the Light Up Movement, described the award as well thought out, as it would encourage them to do more.
He was however concerned about the level of compliance of customers in Lokoja, towards offsetting their electricity bills and appealed to the body to continue to create awareness on the need  for payment of bills for electricity consumed.
In his closing remark, the Regional Head of Human Resource, Mr. Toyin Kazeem praised the exemplary nature of Mr. Okuwe, saying that the award was well deserved in view of his personality and work ethic.
