The National Publicity Secretary of Women Gender Frontier, Atta Oyarazi Aisha, on Saturday, urged the people of Kogi to vote out Governor Yahaya Bello in order to liberate themselves from poverty and underdevelopment.
Aisha who addressed journalists in Lokoja to drum support for the SDP governorship candidate, Barr. Natasha Akpoti, said the election is an opportunity for the people to end years of bad governance in the state.
She called on the people to embrace positive change and “dump the bad past.”
“The state is still stuck in the failed promises of CHANGE. It is time for Kogi people to vote wisely in order to protect the future of their children. No free education, no free health care, parents still pay for their children WAEC fees, no teacher was employed, where’s the change?”
Aisha said the SDP is targeting 80 per cent of the votes during the governorship election, pledging that it would bring about total positive change in the lives of the people.
