In less than 72 hours, voters in Kabba-Bunu LG are expected to come out in their large numbers to elect their Chairman to pilot the affairs of the Council for the next three years or thereabout.
As the law permits, the countdown to the local government election have seen candidate of various parties reeling out their campaign promises and manifestoes.
The questions that readily comes to mind are but not limited to – which leadership quality and inherent traits do we require from the world – be Chairman?
What are his antecedence and pedigree?
Would he be a rubber – stamp personality or one who can stand by his decision(s)?
Would he be a lettered personality with an unusual intelligence and bravery?
Would he take the welfare of the local government employees as topmost priority?
Would he be a servant – leader who can guarantee giving without taking back and remembering?
In all the nooks and crannies of Kabba- Bunu LG, concerted efforts are being made to excuse posterity from the flimsy excuse of less than pass mark governance largely due to being disconnected from the top echelon of politics.
Don’t we (electorates and residents) deserve a breathe of fresh air in Kabba-Bunu? It’s long overdue!
It’s high time the status quo change from near impossible to good representation. It’s time to inculcate people – centered and sustainable development in our political clime.
Without being pessimistic, it will amount to political treachery, usurpation of social duties and responsibilities and obfuscating what is ideal from the less favourable if we fail to act right, in view of the depravity of dividends of democracy, ineffective political patronage and malignant disconnect.
Without mincing words, Barr. Segun Modeyin of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the antidote to our myriad of challenges in Kabba- Bunu if we vote right on 19th October.
In view of our humble political mentalities, network of opportunities and prosperity are very rare commodities to come by in our political flirtation with others of diverse ethnic backgrounds, discipline and leanings.
With the amiable Modeyin as the team leader (Chairman) in the thick of action, there is nothing to worry about. The end to our political stagnation, morass under- development and stunted growth would soon be a thing of the past.

_ For bridging the gap in gender equality…. Trust Segun Modeyin.
_ For Widows Empowerment and Poverty Alleviation… The tempo shall be re-invigorated by Segun Modeyin.
_ For facilitation of infrastructural facilities and provision of boreholes… Segun has the networking capacity.
_ In view of our Agrarian nature, mechanized farm implements, fertilizers, seedlings and inputs shall be prioritized by Segun Modeyin.
_ For humility personified, respect and unification of diverse interests, Barr. Segun is at your becks and calls.
_ For sustainable educational support and scholarships… Segun is always in the forefront.
_ For rendering regular stewardship… Believe in the process.
For the records, Barr. Segun Modeyin have previously served in acting capacity in Kabba-Bunu LGA, if given the platitude to govern unsupervised, he is super – primed to get us out of our political doldrums.
Without sounding immodest, Segun Modeyin is in a better stead to reposition our lost glory.
On Saturday 19th 2024, we should all come out massively and stand out for all the glaring realities. We should inculcate the spirit to live our dreams for the betterment of humanity through the servant – leadership of our time.
