LG Chairman Assures College of Nursing, FCE Okene of Continued Support, Security

The Chairman of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad on Monday paid courtesy visit to the management of Federal College of Education, Okene, and College of Nursing and Midwifery, Obangede.

The Chairman and his cabinet members were first received by the provost of the college of education, Dr Umar Hassan.

Hon. Abdulrazaq, in his address, congratulated Dr. Hassan on his reappointment as the provost of the college for another term of four years.

He said the provost has proved himself as a distinguish administrator and an experienced academician whose various programs and policies have greatly enhanced learning activities in the school.

The Chairman assured the management of the college that his administration will partner with the school authority in intelligence gathering to boost her security architecture.

He said the local government will however request the college to help train her teeming youths on ICT skills acquisition and entrepreneurship as part of his plan to empower the youths of the council.

Similarly, at the College of Nursing and Midwifery Obangede, Hon. Abdulrazaq commended the provost and staff of the college for maintaining high standard of academic discipline and decency as one of the oldest health institution in the state.

He said, the visit was to familiarize the local government with the college and of course explore areas of mutual assistance for the benefit of school and the people of Okene local government.
