House of Representatives candidate of People Democratic Party (PDP) for Dekina/ Bassa Federal constituency in 2023 general elections, Hon Usman Okai Austin has berated the Commissioner for Information, Hon Kingsley Fanwo over his roles in Kogi’s unfortunate state.
Reacting to Fanwo’s rebuttal of a leaked Whatsapp chats revealing plots by to bribe judges sitting on Kogi Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, Okai said the commissioner is part of all the evils that had bedeviled the confluence state.
In a statement on Thursday, Okai said the leaked Whatsapp group chat was an act of God.
He counseled Fanwo to tender an unreserved apology to the people for planning to compromise tribunal judges, instead of denying the plot.
Part of the statement read:
“The commissioner who couldn’t win his own party primary election for the federal house of representatives is part of Kogi state problems.
“Fanwo was brought from a national newspaper as a media assistant to Capt Idris Wada’s Deputy, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi as a boy coming up. Unfortunately, the Evangelist who was expected to represent truth is now planning to bribe judges with dollars.
“The commissioner’s denial is expected because he was exposed by those he trusted and the same who wants liberation for the people of Kogi state. Fanwo has severely denied that Kogi state money never missed but the truth on ground has proved that he lies more than necessary and that is because wanted Yahaya Bello promised him that if a Governor must come from Kogi West, Kingsley Fanwo is the anointed one.
“We are not surprised because Fanwo sees himself as a Governor from Okun tribe in waiting and ready to deny even his own family to please Yahaya Bello and Ododo. Unfortunately for Kingsley, he is yet to learn from Edward Onoja, Okala, Hon. Kolawole and the like of Asuku that Bello once promised heaven and earth and failed them.
“The self acclaimed Evangelist who is not even born again need to understand that every day is for the thief, but one day is for the owner. Today, his former principal who looted the state carelessly is facing God’s judgment while on earth. Also, the attempt to bribe judges ahead of the tribunal ruling has already been exposed and necessary complains made to the relevant security apparatus and judiciary regulations body for appropriate action and vigilance.”
