The National Association of Okun Students (NAOS) under the leadership of Comrade Jacob Abraham Damilare has commended Barrister Babatunde Irukera, the Director General, Consumer Protection Council of Nigerian for granting scholarship to one of her students, Comrade Adekunle Emmanuel Shola.

Adekunle Emmanuel Shola who is a graduate of Law from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University with a Cumulative Grade Point of 4.22 fell into the grips of hopelessness even though he gained admission into the Nigerian Law school but could not fund the bills not until Barrister Irukera offered him a scholarship to a tone of three hundred thousand naira and this washed away the hopelessness of this intelligent student.

With this kind gesture shown not just to the beneficiary but to the Association in its entirety, Barr. Irukera has proven to be a true lover of education. Hence, understands the importance of not allowing great potentials to be killed.

As a matter of fact, Irukera will henceforth be recognised as the “Okun Student’s Man of the year 2018”.

Irukera has reminded us of the times when education was free and our leaders had the opportunities used judiciously.

Irukera is therefore being applauded for distinguishing himself while we pray that  God Almighty continue to replenish his source of incomes bountifully.

Other Okun and Kogi Leaders are by this virtue, charged to emulate the generous attributes of Barrister Babatunde Irukera so as to encourage great youthful minds in their field of academics.

The Association also appreciates all those who have contributed their own quotas in ensuring that our brother finds favor. We are optimistic that you all won’t be disappointed as you have invested in him.

As an Association, we shall continue to advocate for our student’s welfare to be prioritized. We shall not be discouraged to cry aloud when we are in dire need provided it is on a just course.
