Senator Ahmed Ogembe representing Kogi central senatorial district has eulogised a late elder statesman and the district head of Okengwe in Okene local government, Mohammed Aliyu (aka Anaje), describing his demise as a colossal loss that portray a sting to the struggle for peaceful society.
In a statement personally signed by him and made available to news men in Abuja, Ogembe said, “we honour his lifetime of service to the people of his district and the entire Ebira land”.
Describing the late Muhammad as a faithful servant, the senator said ” he was a giant of our time – not just for the things he achieved, but for who he was and what he fought for all his life. He will always be listed among freedom’s most gallant and faithful servants”.
He noted the outstanding contributions of the deceased towards a peaceful coexistence and community development adding that these are the ideals for which generations of his people will always be proud of.
Ogembe prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed and that God grant his family and well wishers the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
