The Kogi State University Medical Students Association (KSUMSA) has appealed to the state government, to meet the demands of ASUU and call off the strike.

In a statement by the President of the association, Comrade Edogbo Anthony, he pleaded with the contending parties to embrace dialogue in the interest of the students and the suffering masses, whose livelihood depends on the functioning of the institution.

Edogbo lamented that the on-going strike by ASUU has distorted the academic calender of the medical school and that of the institution as well.

The KSUMSA President also appealed to students to avoid violent protest and commended the tireless efforts of the Interim Students Representative Assembly President, Comrade Idogbe Evaristus,  who has been up and doing from the onset of the strike. He adviced students to observe restraint in order to avoid unforeseeable repercussions.
