They described the Acting Rector as a leader who has demonstrated great sense of direction and determination to succeed, in spite of the obvious challenges confronting the institution.

They therefore requested for the prayer and support of all and sundry to make his administration a success.

In his response, the Acting Rector appreciated the Head and entire staff of the Political Science Department for the visit, gift, support and encouragement.

He advised staff of the Political Science Department to show exemplary conduct as all eyes would be on them as the Department of the Vice Chancellor.

He enumerated the steps he had taken to move the Polytechnic forward, which he said include regulations on production and sales of textbooks to avoid exploitation of students, re-posting of staff in bursary and registry departments, restoration of internet access on campus and upgrading of the clinic from a 3-bed to a 30-bed facility.

He also stressed that efforts were in top gear to ensure the completion of the stalled student hostel  projects within two  months through partnership with Zenith Bank.

Other development efforts as explained by the Acting Rector include the ongoing erection of security office at the gate of the Polytechnic through the use of expertise of staff from relevant departments and donations from some contractors, the beautification of the Polytechnic gate, amongst others.
