The Kogi State University Alumni Association has commended Gov. Yahaya Bello for appointing Prof. (Mrs) Marietu Ohunene Tenuche as the Vice Chancellor of the institution.
In a press statement released in Lokoja by the National President, Dr. Muhammad Kebir, the alumni association enjoined its members and the university community to give Tenuche maximum support to succeed in the task of reforming the school.
He noted that the Alumni association is elated by Tenuche’s appointment being one of the pioneer lecturers of the university.
Governor Yahaya Bello, on Tuesday, approved the appointment of Professor Marietu Ohunene Tenuche as the acting Vice Chancellor.
Tenuche, two-time Deputy Vice Chancellor of the institution, replaced Professor Mohammed Abdulkadir, who has been asked to proceed on terminal leave.
