The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Promise Emmanuel has been conferred with an “Outstanding Youth in Politics” award at the 2023 edition of the Kogi Social Media Awards (KSMA).

Organizers said Promise Emmanuel won the award after polling the highest public votes in recognition of his exemplary gains in leadership, strategy, service, and impact while being a beacon of inspiration to young people in Kogi–Nigeria’s contemporary politics.

Receiving his plaque at the event held at Wisdom Event Hall in Lokoja on Saturday, Promise dedicated the award to youths particularly in Kogi State, and said he was delighted to be honored as it would spur him to do more.

He advised the youths to always make diligence and creativity their article of faith, adding that they form the largest bulk of the nation’s population. He advised them to always make use of their numerical strength positively.

He appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja, and other leaders of thought, whose mentorship he said, stimulates his drive to continually contribute his quota in the area of youth development.

He commended the Convener, Mr Dansofo Usman for his vision for KSMA and proffered ways it can be improved subsequently.

Recall that Promise Emmanuel had earlier bagged the “Most Engaging Content Developer” category in 2018.
