The Peoples Democratic Party, Kogi State Chapter has called on the All Progressive Congress APC to desist from spreading misinformation about what it described as the burden of corruption.
Kogi state newly appointed Chief Communication Manager to the Governor, Mr. Phrank Shaibu disclosed yesterday in an exclusive chat.
He described choice of Prince Abubakar Audu as the APC governorship flag bearer as a slap in the face of the President Muhammadu Buhari anti-corruption posture.
“His ambition is a direct clash as it relates to the stands of his party, it is a slap on the Buhari anti-currption campaign. Yes, there is the presumption that a man/woman is presumed innocent until proven guilty,”he stressed.
“But yet, there is a moral burden here. The case has been going long for as long as you can think, with Prince Audu Abubakar was employing frivolous injunctions to stall the course of justice.
“And now, he is trying to hide under the anti-corruption mantra to seek immunity from justice.
” let our dear President Buhari detach himself from Audu Abubakar’s political quest. Emphatically, Abubakar Audu’s dusty past of corruption is a virus that will defamed President Buhari’s stature on anti corruption.
The Communication Manager stated that Audu Abubakar’s issue should be avoided because this is not about today’s rampant politically motivated accusations,noting that records on Audu Abubakar date back to ten years before the formation of the APC. Indeed, if the APC is not careful, Audu Abubakar’s ambition will ruin Mr. President’s good agenda on change.
