Kogi West Senatorial Aspirant Pays Kogi Speaker Courtesy Visit

Barr. Sunday Joshua Ehimoni from Lokoja LGA and Aspirant Kogi West Senatorial seat, 2019 with other stakeholders from Lokoja/Kogi-Koton Karfe Federal Constituency on Wednesday paid the Speaker, KGHA, Rt. Hon. Mathew Kolawole a courtesy visit in his office at the Assembly complex in Lokoja.
The group described the Speaker as an astute politician whose leadership has stabilise the legislative arm.
The aspirant, while giving his speech, sought support for and also show his love for the Speaker to return come 2019.
He showed his support for the Speaker while presenting a customised T-Shirt which states, ‘Let’s Return Our Speaker, 2019’ and ‘Thumbs Alert 4 GYB’.
The Speaker appreciated the visit and returned all glory back to God. He added that powers belong to God Almighty and it’s only him that know whom he preserves for every seat.
He wished the aspirant well and prayed that God will count him worthy.
The Speaker advised the aspirant to believe in himself as a young man and not relent.
He also added that, even if he doesn’t make it, he shouldn’t be discouraged that there are greater places for him in the future.
The Speaker further emphasized that, it will definitely be if it’s his time and otherwise if not.
The Speaker who shared his experience, said his patience made him to enjoy lots of gain, as the first time Member, House of Assembly from Kabba-Bunu to become a principal officer, thereby taking lots of benefits home to his constituents.
The Speaker advised the aspirant to support Governor, Yahaya Bello as the leader of the State and Party; he also asked for their support for the decision of the party in the forthcoming Lokoja-Koton Karfe Federal Constituency by-election for success.
The Special Adviser on Legislative Matters to the Governor, Barr. Haruna Okpanachi while giving the vote of thanks appreciated the Speaker for his leadership approach and commended the President for the assent recently given to the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill to become a law.
He encouraged the aspirant to continue thinking big that he has the intellectual capacity to represent Kogi West at the Red Chambers.
