Kogi State at 33: Environment Commissioner Hails Progress, Pledges Continued Commitment

The Kogi State Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun Stephen, has congratulated the government and people of Kogi State on the occasion of the state’s 33rd anniversary.

In a goodwill message, Engr. Oluwasegun acknowledged the significant developmental strides made by the state since its creation on August 27, 1991, particularly in the area of environmental excellence.

He highlighted the state’s achievements in reducing pollution, conserving natural resources, and promoting eco-friendly practices, resulting in thriving forests, clean waterways, and a lush landscape.

The Commissioner praised the visionary leadership of Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the support of stakeholders, and the resilience of the people, praying for continued divine guidance and wisdom for the state’s leaders.

He acknowledged the sacrifices of heroes past, state leaders, who laid the foundation for the state’s progress.

Engr. Oluwasegun reiterated the ministry’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for sustainable development, where citizens can live, work, and thrive.

The Commissioner urged Kogites to continue to coexist in unity for the overall development and prosperity of the state.
