The sleepy town of Ife Olukotun in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State was pumped to life as the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade donates clothing materials, foodstuffs, cash and other valuables to the people amidst fanfare as the people hailed the initiative as the first in the history of the town.
The elated SSG told the crowd that trooped out to honour her that the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello has proven its mettle in the areas of development, reforms and unity, urging the people of Kogi West to rally round the administration to deliver more democracy dividends to the people. Mrs. Ayoade hailed the Governor’s commitment to civil service reforms and decreed the rot in the system before the advent of the present administration. She was later honored with the title of the Mother of the Youth of Ife Olukotun.
Also speaking at the event, the Honourable Commissioner For Finance in the State, Asiwaju Idris Asiru said the appointees are united in line with the policy of the present administration. He said the administration under the leadership of Alh. Yahaya Bello will continue to affect lives at the grassroots. The Commissioner donated handsomely towards the completion of the Ife Olukotun Youth Civic Center.
In his vote of thanks, veteran journalist, Alh. Isaq Ajibola thanked the SSG for bringing the people to Ife Olukotun to contribute to the development of the town, assuring him of the people’s support for his administration.
