The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Momoh-Jimoh Lawal, has enjoined Kogi people to be peaceful, united, law abiding and understanding in the new year.
The speaker stated in a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Suleiman.
According to He called on the people of Kogi state to put the past behind them and look forward with hope, optimism and renewed faith in themselves and the country.
Adding that the challenges of the outgoing year have helped to strengthen the resolve of Kogi to overcome the hurdles of nation-building, noting that the country has come out stronger in spite of them.
He expressed hope that Kogi will be better in the new year and that all citizens must continue to contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the state.
He went further to congratulate kogi people as well as his Okene 2 State constituency for the God-given opportunity to see a brand new year.
He pledged increased commitment in contributing his quota towards improving the lives and living conditions of his constituents, okene 2 and kogi state in generally through the instrumentality of his office as Speaker.
