The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has commiserated with the immediate past Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Smart Adeyemi over the sudden demise of his beloved wife, Mrs Yemisi Adeyemi after a brief illness.
In a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Femi Olugbemi, the Speaker said he received the sad news of the sudden and untimely death of the senator’s wife with heavy heart.
He described her untimely demise as shocking considering her state of health few days ago, noting that the sad event has dealt a big blow on the immediate family of distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi.
“Mrs Adeyemi left at a time when her supporting services, words of wisdom and encouragement would be needed most but God knows why He chose to call her home at noon,” he said.
The Speaker said he was consoled by the fact that no one can query God in the circumstances.
“On behalf of the entire members of the 6th Assembly, management and staffs of the Kogi State House of Assembly, we wish to commiserate with the immediate family of Senator Smart Adeyemi over the untimely demise of his lovely wife, Mrs Yemisi Adeyemi. Once again, accept our heartfelt condolences.”
