Comrade Oluade Gbenga Bright, the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Ijumu I State Constituency, has expressed profound grief over the sudden passing of Hon. Solomon Mayowa Oyewole, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ijumu Local Government Area.

In a condolence statement, Gbenga Bright described the news of Oyewole’s death as shocking and painful, saying it represents a significant loss not only to the deceased’s immediate family and political associates but to the entire APC family in Ijumu and Kogi State at large.

“With total submission to the will of Almighty God and profound sadness, I received the shocking news of the sudden passing of Hon. Solomon Mayowa Oyewole,” Gbenga Bright said. He described the late APC chairman, whom he fondly called “Solo Aduge,” as a dear friend and ally, noting that their relationship spanned several years and was built on shared values and mutual respect.

According to Gbenga Bright, Oyewole’s humility and his contributions to unity and progress in both his community and the wider political space across Okun and Kogi State will be sorely missed. He said the loss was, for him, both a political and personal one, given the closeness of their friendship despite standing on opposite sides of the political divide.

Extending his condolences, Gbenga Bright reached out to Oyewole’s family, children, community members, and the leadership and membership of the APC in Ijumu. He prayed for the repose of the departed chairman’s soul and for God to grant his family and political associates the strength to bear the loss.

“May his dutiful soul rest in perfect peace,” Gbenga Bright said, closing his tribute to the late APC chairman.

The circumstances surrounding Oyewole’s death were not disclosed in the statement. He is survived by his family and leaves behind a legacy within the APC structure in Ijumu Local Government Area.
