The Ekinrin Community National Association (ECNA), the Ekinrin Traditional Council, and the entire sons and daughters of Ekinrinland at home and abroad have congratulated their prominent son, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, on his appointment as Deputy Director-General, Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement signed by the National President of ECNA, Hon. Duro Omonola, on behalf of His Royal Majesty, Oba Johnson Kolade Otitoju, the Egbo-Lona I and Akinrin of Ekinrinland, the community described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Faleke’s leadership qualities, loyalty, and years of political experience in service of the nation and the ruling party.

The statement said Faleke’s elevation reflects his long-standing commitment to community development, youth empowerment, political organisation, and national service, describing him as “a proud son of the soil, a respected community builder, and a worthy ambassador of Ekinrinland.”

According to the association, the new assignment fits squarely within Faleke’s strengths, given his track record as a town developer and organiser. It described the appointment as “a case of a square peg in a square hole,” citing his organisational ability, strategic understanding, and proven capacity as qualities suited to the responsibilities of planning, coordinating, and monitoring electoral activities for the campaign council.

Ekinrinland also extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it called continued recognition of Faleke’s competence, noting that the President has repeatedly demonstrated confidence in the community’s son by entrusting him with responsibilities at the national level. The community said it viewed the appointment not only as a personal achievement for Faleke but also as a source of pride for Ekinrinland and the wider Kogi community.

The group pledged its continued support for Faleke as he takes on the new role, describing its backing as enduring rather than occasional. “Our support is not seasonal,” the statement read, adding that it is “rooted in our pride in you as our son, our confidence in your leadership, and our appreciation of your commitment to the development of our community and the advancement of Nigeria.”

ECNA and the Traditional Council further assured Faleke of their prayers and solidarity, wishing him wisdom, strength, sound health, and success in discharging his new national responsibility.

Faleke’s appointment forms part of the broader structure of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, which is tasked with coordinating the party’s electoral strategy, planning, and monitoring efforts ahead of upcoming polls.
