The State Police Commissioner, Mr Amanan Abakasanga, has warned those alleged to have stockpiled arms to drop them or hide under their beds, as anybody caught would be treated like common criminal.
The police boss who read the riot act yesterday, during a stakeholders meeting, stated that nobody would be spared if caught disturbing the electoral process, no matter how highly placed.
He warned that only security agencies were constitutionally required to carry arms and ammunition and that anybody found with arms on election day would be made to face the full wrath of the law.
He also warned that under no circumstance should the security agents be attacked, stressing that there would be reprisal from the law enforcement agencies.
He told those alleged to have stockpiled arms to drop them or hide under their beds, as anybody caught would be treated like common criminal.
Also, Brigadier-General Alphonsus Chukwu of Army Command Record, said the army was fully prepared for the election.
He warned that anybody or group of people who carried arms during the election and was not part of the police, army or authorised security agents would be arrested by the security agents.
He mentioned that the security agents were ready to confront any one that was planning to create an unpleasant scene during the election on Saturday.
