The immediate past Liaison Officer 1 of Idah Local Government Area, Dr. Major Abutalib Musa has won the Idah Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) sole ticket to contest in the forthcoming Local Government Elections in Kogi State.
Dr. Major’s political journey to the primaries as been a tough one as certain PDP top-guns in Idah had vowed to stop his ambition. Their grouse ranged from his alleged uncompromising stand and the last screening exercise he embarked upon during his short reign as Liaison Officer 1.
The heat generated before the primaries necessitated the marathon meeting over the weekend at the instance of Governor Idris Wada who pleaded with stakeholders to see themselves as brothers and ensure a united house against opposition parties.
