A media consultant, Mallam Yusuf Abubakar has fingered the Wada-Aro Campaign Organization as being the brain the reported expulsion of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kogi governorship aspirant in the September 3, 2019 primary election, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim.

Yusuf made this known in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday.

The media consultant described statement credited to the spokesperson to the Wada-Aro Campaign, Usman Okai Austin, dissociating the campaign team from complicity in Ibrahim’s expulsion from the party, as a belated face saving effort.

Yusuf insisted that the orchestrated campaign of calumny against the person of Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim was subtly engineered by the Wada/Aro campaign.

“Amidst the bogus allegations of anti party activities bandied against Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, the crux of the matter was his efforts to reclaim his mandate that was freely given to him by the party’s delegates on September 3 through the courts.

“The PDP governorship aspirant, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, is known to be a highly committed, loyal and liberal member of the party before the primaries, but suddenly labelled with ridiculous names when he began moves to reclaim his stolen mandate. The who charade is aimed at was subtly engineered by Wada/Aro campaign council.

“The hasty decision by the disciplinary committee to expel Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim, based on vague, unproven and ridiculous allegations of anti-party activities, without entertaining response from the accused is an attempt to suppress his legitimate legal pursuits with regards to the last Kogi Governorship election.

“Before the erratic and unpopular decision was taken by a section of party executives loyal to Engineer Musa Wada, there were series of threats from Wada’s loyalists because they view his determination to set records straight on the PDP primary election as a huge distraction to their principal, Musa Wada,” he said.

Yusuf, however, maintained that Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim will not succumb to the pressure, blackmail, castigation and open confrontation as he pursue his case to a logical conclusion.

He stated that the actions of the Icheke ward executive of PDP is null and void as it was against laid down rules of the party. He insisted that the Abubakar Ibrahim campaign organisation will not shiver in its determination to reclaim its mandate through the apex court.
