Kogi Guber Poll: Ajaokuta APC Leaders Meet With Defectors

Ahead of the November 11th Kogi State Governorship election, Hon Sanni Abdulraheem and other leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ajaokuta LGA met with defectors in a bid to ensure concerted synergy geared at giving bulk votes for Alh Usman Ahmed Ododo and his running mate, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu.

Hon Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in House of Representatives, encouraged the defectors to be firm in their decisions to work with the party.

Hon. Abdulraheem reiterated his commitment to ensuring equal rights and benefits for all party members and appealed to the new members to ignore those criticising their bold move. 

While urging the defectors to have confidence in the party, Hon. Abdulraheem highlighted the giant strides of His Excellency Gov Yahaya Bello in the Health sector, security, education, Youth & women empowerment, and infrastructure among others.

The honourable member charged the defectors to synergize with the party to ensure victory for Alh Ododo for all developmental turnarounds and consolidations on the laid down gains of Gov Bello’s administration.

Hon Jibril Abu, the Kogi State House of Assembly Member appreciated the defectors and restated his commitment to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Ajaokuta LGA, noting that he has empowered some people within the period of one hundred days in office, assuring the new members of the party that such gestures will be extended to all in Ajaokuta Local Government Area. 

On his part, the Kogi State Focal Person on National and Social Investments Programme (NSIP), Prince Abdukarim Onyiekehi admonished the defectors to work assiduously to ensure victory for the party, restating that the APC administration will continue to hold the welfare of the people as a top priority.

Prince Onyiekehi added that the NSIP scheme will be expanded to benefit all members of the party and the entire Ajaokuta LGA.

The former NNPP party chairman, Hon Okikiri Zulkanaine Omuya revealed their action plans geared at the victory of the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the gubernatorial election

Formal PDP stakeholders and other speakers while speaking vow to sincerely work in tandem with the party policies of engagement to ensure landslide victory. They sought all necessary support required for the electioneering processes.

All Ajaokuta Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress, promised to give all-round support for party members working for the party’s victory at the poll and galvanising the intent of the candidate of Alh Usman Ododo. 

The defectors were crops of leaders of the opposition, the former NNPP Party Chairman and Assembly Candidate, PDP ward chairmen and other critical stakeholders of the opposition party.
