Kogi Guber: Igalamela GYB Canvassers Drums Support for Gov. Bello

GYB Canvassers Movement, a conglomeration of six social-political groups in Igalamela/Odolu local government area have decided to join forces with the local government Administrator, APC leadership and stakeholders to ensure that the Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is elected for a second term in November 2019.

The group made this public during a massive sensitisation exercise in Ajaka, headquarters of the local government. 

In his welcome address, the President of the group, Com. Sani Salifu stated that the group “was formed with a mission to embark on massive sensitization of rural dwellers on the marvelous achievements recorded by Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello so far in his first term as governor of our dear state is spread to every nook and cranny of Igalamela/Odolu local government area.

“The people of Kogi state need to be aware that GYB has recorded unexpected achievements and they is no other person better suitable for the job. We are determined to travel the entire Wards and Polling Units in Igalamela/Odolu local government area to tell the people that GYB has achieved so much and if given the opportunity will go on to much more.”

Com. Sani Salifu noted that the governor’s “impressive achievements in the areas of security, revenue generation, anti-corruption, infrastructure, sports and more importantly, youths empowerment.

“Igalamela GYB Canvassers Movement is for Gyb. He is the only person we know. He is the only person we have and he is the only person we shall support.”

The Administrator of Igalamela-Odolu LGA who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Com. Ameh Nuhu Okpanachi commended the group for identifying the achievements of the governor and for taking “this bold step in the right direction”.

He assured the leadership and members of the group of the total support of his administration towards ensuring that “the people’s governor is elected overwhelmingly in November”.

The event was also attended by community leaders and APC stakeholders such as Hon. Paul Abalaka (APC LG Chairman), Siaka Nuhu (LG Youth leader), Abdul Sule (member administrative team), Hon. Simeon Abalaka, Hon. Danjuma Odiba and Hon. Adama Zekeri.
