Kogi Guber: Bello’s Victory at Primary Signifies Oneness in Our Party – APC Chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Abubakar Ohere, on Tuesday, said that the victory of Gov. Yahaya Bello at the party’s primary affirmed the oneness of members at all levels.

Ohere, who is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made the affirmation at APC stakeholders and reconciliation meeting held in Okehi.

He said that the landslide victory of the governor at the APC primaries was a sign that members of the party at all levels were united and resolute ahead of the governorship election on November 16.

Ohere, who also doubles as the leader of Kogi Central of Bello’s political appointees, said the APC in Kogi has become united and stronger under the governor’s leadership while assuring the people of equal opportunity in the party.

Ohere thanked the people of the state especially the Okehi Local Government for their continued support for Gov. Bello led Administration, assuring them of more infrastructural boost in the area.

The APC chieftain also received some stalwarts of ADC who defected to APC alongside their hundreds of supporters, and some aggrieved members of APC were also pacified and reconciled.

Among which were: the former governorship aspirant Hon Haruna Yusuf, a former senatorial candidate on the platform of the ADC, Hon Mustapha Otokiti and former Okehi Local Government Chairman, Hon Hassan Okuenyete.

Earlier, the defectors and their supporters endorsed the second term bid of Gov. Bello, saying his achievements for three and half years had earned him a deserving opportunity to contest and consolidate on them.

Haruna Yusuf, a former ADC to the Adams Oshiomhole, was an aggrieved APC member, also pledged his support and that of his supporters for Gov. Bello’s reelection.

Also Speaking, Hon. Mustapha Otokiti, thanked Ohere for his giant strides in advancing the New Direction Government, while assuring the stakeholders of his unflinching support towards the governor’s reelection.
