Kogi Gov’ship: There’re No Permanent Enemies in Politics, Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Counsels Usman Ododo

Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Dr Ado Ibrahim has counseled the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, to work harmoniously with critical stakeholders across the three senatorial districts in Kogi state.

The revered monarch told the APC flag bearer that there are no permanent enemies in politics, reiterating the need for political inclusion to achieve success at the end of the general election scheduled for November 11 this year.

He charged Ododo to carry along political stakeholders, youth and women supporters in his campaign to ensure victory at the polls.

The monarch made these known at his Azad palace in Okene when the APC governorship candidate, in company of chieftains of the party paid him a courtesy visit on Thursday to seek the blessing of the royal father ahead of the general election after emerging as the party’s flag bearer. 

The monarch who was delighted over the choice of Ododo as the candidate of APC said the effort would be a consolidation on the many achievements Governor Yahaya Bello has recorded for the state over time. 

“I am optimistic that the choice of Usman Ahmed Ododo will definitely  bring enormous development to the state and for him to achieve that, he needs the support and cooperation of the people of the state,” he said.

The royal father commended Governor Yahaya Bello for prioritizing security of lives and property throughout his tenure and pledged the support and cooperation of the traditional institution in  making the state peaceful for the citizens.

Earlier, the APC flag bearer Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, said the visit which was at the instance of Governor Yahaya Bello was to seek the blessing of the royal father who had been praying for the success of the present administration.

He noted that in the last seven years Governor Yahaya Bello has been able to turn around the fortune of the state through the provision of critical social and  infrastructural infrastructures, economic develoment and human capital development.

The APC governorship candidate disclosed that there are many laudable programmes and projects presently going on in the state initiated by governor Yahaya Bello, assuring that if given the mandate he will consolidate on such achievements to take Kogi to another level of development.

“It is an open secret that our leader the governor of the state has recorded landmark achievements in the areas of security, education, health , agriculture,  infrastructure development such as roads, water , youth and women empowerment. 

“We will consolidate all these achievements to effect positive economic and infrastructure development to achieve the desire of our leader in taking kogi to the promised land,” he said.

He solicits the support and prayers of the royal father and promised that he would not disappoint the people of the state if given the mandate to serve as the governor of the Kogi state.

Three major contenders for the governorship positions, Abdulakareem Asuku, Barr. Salami Ozigi and Alhaji Jibrin Momoh who stepped down for Ododo accompanied him to the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland.
