Since the news broke out that the Chief of Staff of the Nigerian president, Abba Kyari, tested positive for coronavirus, calls have heightened on the need for Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state to undergo COVID-19 test.

Kyari met with Governor Yahaya Bello when he represented Buhari at the third day Fidau prayer for the governor’s late mother on March 17.

The Minister of information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, Minister of Special Duty, George Akume, Minister of State for FCT, Ramatu Tijani, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs were also at the event alongside the Chief of Staff.

Kyari allegedly did not follow the due process of self-isolation as directed by NCDC after he returned from Germany on the 14th of March.

It is generally believed that Kyari had contact with Kogi Governor and many others after Coronavirus infection.

Meanwhile, concerned Nigerians have taken to social media to appeal to Governor Bello and others to self-isolate and undergo COVID-19 testing.
