Wife of Kogi state governor, Mrs Rashida Bello has donated food stuff, baby items and cash to Mrs. Olorunfemi Taiye who gave birth to triplets in one of the hospitals at Lokongoma in Lokoja, the state capital recently.
Mrs. Bello, who was elated for meeting the mother and children in good condition, said children are gifts from God therefore should be treated with love and care.
She promised to be of assistance whenever she is called upon, noting that the main purpose of her pet project, Kogi Women Youth Advancement Foundation (KOWYAF), is to take care of women and children.
She also advised the Mrs. Olorunfemi to go on proper breast feeding in the first six months of the triplet’s lives and to always make sure her environment is clean and tidy at all the time.
Speaking earlier, the Secretary to Kogi state government, Dr. Folashade Ayoade re-assured the couple of the state government’s efforts in providing for women and children in the state.
Responding on behalf of the couple, Pastor. Obagunla of Christ Apostolic Church, Lokongoma Phase 2, thanked the wife of the governor for her kind gesture praying that almighty God give her the wisdom to pilot the affairs of women in the state.
