Kogi East Senate: Aidoko Commends PDP Elders Over Reconciliatory Moves

Senator representing Kogi East, Atai Aidoko Ali has expressed confidence in the efforts of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders and community leaders from Kogi East on their desire and determination to chart a new course for the party.
Aidoko, who chairs the Senate committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), bore his mind after interacting with party leaders from Kogi East in Abuja on Tuesday.
He agreed with the leaders on the existence of sharp differences arising from personal and collective interests and the need for the area to move the area forward. He stated that he was impressed by the honest and patriotic traits exhibited by the leaders.
“For the first time in the history of the Igala race, major contenders and warring factions have decided to jettison their differences and vote out the feudal lords and their accomplices out of position of authority to guarantee the future of our people, children and children yet unborn,” he said.
Senator Aidoko stated that the sudden turn of events in the state has greatly affected the people of Kogi East.
He opined that efforts should be redoubled to ensure genuine efforts are harnessed and moles among party leaders are identified and isolated. He noted that the mole are out to place the party at disadvantaged positions with a view to loosing the next year’s elections.
Aidoko commended patriotic party members from units, wards and local governments who have made great sacrifices at this point in time to ensure we overcome the obnoxious, inhuman and decapitated leadership that have been imposed on the people of Kogi East, that have in turn inflicted hardship, difficulties and poverty on the lives of our people.
He said he is not unaware of numerous sacrifices been made by the teeming supporters of PDP, advising that the only way to eldorado is to throw their weight behind the candidates of the party and depart from crude style of administration in the state.
Aidoko thanked prominent kogi east leaders for their genuine efforts and prayed for results that will herald the freedom of the working class, pensioners, youths and women of different shades and opinion.
Senator Aidoko said the PDP is on a rescue mission this time around and appealed to supporters not to regurgitate any differences capable of causing disaffection after the reconciliation, realignment and redirection that will translate to victory of PDP.
