Senator Isah Jibrin (Echocho) has officially declared his intention to seek another term in the senate, reaffirming his commitment to sustain effective representation and development across Kogi East senatorial district.
Making the announcement on Wednesday at APC Secretariat in Anyigba, Senator Echocho expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello (FGYB), Comrade Joel Salifu Oyibo, party stakeholders, youth leaders, women leaders, and well-wishers for their support throughout his first and second terms in office.
In his address, Senator Echocho explained that the prevailing circumstances in recent times have propelled him to seek another term, emphasizing that his decision is in the overall interest of Kogi State, Kogi East, and Nigeria at large. He noted that he has remained a respected and vibrant voice in the National Assembly, consistently representing the aspirations and concerns of his constituents.

He appealed to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, FGYB, Deputy Governor Joel Salifu Oyibo, critical stakeholders, and the supportive people of Kogi East to grant him the opportunity to continue serving and representing them for another term in the National Assembly.


The experienced lawmaker also acknowledged the tireless efforts of his brother, YY Okala (Auditor General), whom he described as a silent achiever working diligently behind the scenes to support his political journey. Senator Echocho expressed heartfelt appreciation for his loyalty, commitment, and steadfast support.
The mammoth crowd reflected the widespread acceptance of his candidacy, and his deep-rooted connections in the grassroots will easily deliver victory for the party in 2027 polls.
Stakeholder representing their various communities, at the declaration commended Senator Echocho for his numerous achievements across the nine local government areas of Kogi East, noting that his projects and empowerments have positively impacted lives and communities throughout the district.
According to them, his proven track record, experience, and popularity among the electorate would significantly strengthen the electoral fortunes of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections.
The atmosphere at the gathering demonstrated strong confidence in Senator Echocho’s ability to once again deliver victory for the APC in Kogi East. Many supporters maintained that his visible projects and enduring connection with the grassroots remain clear evidence of his commitment, capacity, and effectiveness as a representative of the people.
