On the recent release of Peoples Democratic Party Timetable for primaries of the Party, the Kogi East Senatorial Aspirant Engr. John Ibrahim Ocheje has called upon the delegates of the district under the party to remain focus on the primary election coming up ending of this month.
The call for Automatic tickets by some Representatives under the Party in Kogi east which led to some misunderstanding has by implications been resolved with the release of the Party’s primaries timetable without any exception for Kogi East by the State’s Chapter of the Party.
This call was necessitated after the disclosure of the Party’s Primaries by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan with nationwide senatorial primaries scheduled to hold on Friday, 28th September, 2018.
Engr. John Ibrahim has called upon the district delegates to remain truly committed to the democratic ideals upon which the party was formed while noting that he has so much confidence in them because from his meeting with them, they have proven themselves beyond reasonable doubt by their understanding that Kogi east needs a responsible Senator who can account his/her four years of bestowed trust.
While making the call, Engr. John Ibrahim has challenged the delegates to look into his 5-Points Agenda presented to them for the good of Kogi east. He disclosed further that the National Assembly has pivotal roles to play in ensuring good governance which the nation has lacked over the years and indeed Kogi State in past three years.
He noted that his 5-Points Agenda are targeted at Kogi State in general while the Kogi east is the principal beneficiary. According to him, Youth Empowerment is the focal point of this Agenda because Kogi east Youths have enormous potentials which have not been tapped over the years by their supposed Representatives who upon given power neglected their very interests.
Engr. John Ibrahim has equally called upon the delegates to remain confident in their security during the conduct of the primary election noting that no inordinate ambitions of the few and plans to disrupt the process shall triumph.
Meanwhile, Engr. John Ibrahim Ocheje who hails from Ojiala village in Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State had contested for the Idah Federal House of Representative ticket under the PDP in 2015 and lost in a close contest against the incumbent.
