The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja on Sunday commissioned primary health care center which was given a facelift by the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed at Ogaji community in Ankpa local government area.

The clinic which has been in dilapidated state and abandoned for years is the only health centre around the people of Ogaji.

The leaders of the community who spoke at the event described Edward Onoja as the son of the soil because Olamaboro, his local government, was carved out of Ankpa. They described Onoja as a God sent. They also hailed his humility for coming into the community to commission the project which will meet the immediate health needs of the locals.

Speaking on the commissioning, Onoja announced that rehabilitation and reconstruction of rural roads will get special attention in the second term of Governor Yahaya Bello.

He disclosed plans by the Bello-led administration to purchase equipment for the 21 local government areas of the state which would be used by council administrators to open rural roads for economic transformation and social networking of the linked communities.
