The Kogi State Chapter of Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) has hailed the official commissioning of the organisation’s National Headquarters in Abuja, describing the event as a pivotal milestone towards consolidating its political structures and driving grassroots mobilization across the region.

The unveiling ceremony, performed on Saturday by the Vice President of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, drew an array of political heavyweights, serving and former governors, federal lawmakers, and key party stakeholders from across Northern Nigeria.

Leading the delegation from Kogi State was the State Coordinator, Pharm. Chief Abdulkareem Jamiu Mohammed (Asuku), alongside key state executives, including the State Secretary, Dr. Anthony Edogbo.

Notable leaders in attendance included the former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello, CON, who serves as the Deputy National Coordinator (North Central) and member of the Board of Trustees for A4A; former Niger State Governor, Babangida Aliyu; former Yobe State Governor, Ibrahim Gaidam; and former Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong.

Also present were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), the Deputy President of the Senate, and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Unveiling the national head office and campaign structure, Vice President Shettima described A4A as the primary political think-tank of the North for the ‘Asiwaju 2027 Project.’ He declared that Northern Nigeria has spoken with a clear, united voice in reaffirming its resolute support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In his remarks, the Director-General of A4A, Abubakar Badaru Mohammed, stated that the establishment of the national headquarters stems from a firm conviction in the performance and transformative leadership of the Tinubu-Shettima administration, making their re-election a priority for the region.

Corroborating this stance, former Governor Yahaya Bello assured the APC leadership that the message of continuity and progress would be carried to every household across Kogi State, the North Central geopolitical zone, and the entire Northern region through the expansive A4A network.

Speaking on behalf of the Kogi State Chapter, Pharm. Chief Abdulkareem Jamiu Mohammed noted that the state structure remains fully aligned with the national body to drive strategic political engagement.

He further urged all Kogites to rally behind the Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo, in his efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy. Pharm. Asuku commended Governor Ododo for fostering an inclusive political environment and expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support towards the movement in the state.

The Kogi delegation to the Abuja summit also included Zonal Coordinators Hon. Rabiu Alfa (East), Hon. Femi Owoniyi (West), and Hon. Barikisu Ohunene (Central); Director of Mobilisation, Hon.
